The mural in the entrance of Dripping Springs Elementary in Dripping Springs Texas was commissioned by the Principal. I donated my time and supplies to create it and it was one of my very firsts.
Illustrating the 7 habits that are fostered and practiced at Dripping Springs Elementary, this mural consists of fun colors, turtles, palm trees and it welcomes students, teachers, and parents when they enter the main entrance of the school.
I loved painting this mural so much for a few reasons: I got to spend time at the elementary school where my children attend and I got to visit with many parents, teachers, and students throughout my days painting there. I love the school so much and it was an honor to give back to the school and community.
We created this opportunity together.
The title of this mural is Rise Into Yourself.
The beautiful murals that have been popping up in my hometown.
The first location to be completed at Barton Creek Square Mall will feature a whimsical scene of insects and plants.
Butterflies, ladybugs, ants, and flowers.
I love living in and around Austin with so many opportunities to beautify public spaces!
Starting the end of July, I will be painting in the first location at Barton Creek Square Mall. In September/Octoboer, I will be painting in the second location at the mall.
Playfully bouncing back and forth and meandering down the long corridor to the bathrooms on the first floor, this mural will feature iconic Austin scenes.
Austin Texas and the Arts! Nirvana for an artist.
This mural was the first mural to be done at the salon and was part of an initiative to showcase local artists.
The octopus represents us all in our attempt to balance all the things we juggle in our lives. To the octopus, it is effortless but when we look at all the hands we need to handle work and play, responsibilities and having fun, being an octopus is appealing.
